The following text truthfully describes which services this website actually uses and what data flows as a result. It does not replace a legal review by a qualified professional prior to publication.

Hosting

This website is hosted with Netlify, Inc. When you access any page, Netlify processes technically necessary access data (including IP address, timestamp, page accessed), as is the case with any website hosting.

Booking request form

When you submit a booking request, the details you enter (name, email, phone, trip/ride details, company and comments if applicable) are transmitted to us and stored so we can process your request. Storage takes place in two places: in a database with the provider Supabase (Supabase Pte. Ltd., 65 Chulia Street, Singapore), whose server location for this project is in Zurich, Switzerland, and additionally with the form service "Netlify Forms" (Netlify, Inc., 101 2nd Street, San Francisco, USA) as a fallback, so that your request is not lost if one of the two services is temporarily unavailable. Part of the price calculation is recalculated server-side via so-called Netlify Functions; only the details needed for the calculation (e.g. date, mileage) are processed.

How long we keep your details: requests that do not lead to a booking are deleted after 12 months. Records of rentals that actually took place are kept for 10 years, because we are legally required to retain business records (Art. 958f Swiss Code of Obligations).

Font

The "Inter" typeface is served directly from this website (self-hosted). No connection to Google or any other external provider is established for this.

Address suggestions and automatic route estimation

When you type an address or place during a booking request, the text you entered is transmitted from the third character onwards to two address services in order to show matching suggestions: the address search of the Swiss Federal Office of Topography swisstopo (api3.geo.admin.ch) for Swiss addresses, and the Photon service of komoot GmbH (photon.komoot.io), which is based on OpenStreetMap data, for places abroad. If you select a suggestion, its coordinates are transmitted to the mapping service OpenRouteService (HeiGIT/Heidelberg University) to calculate the estimated route. All of these requests run via our own server, not directly from your browser. Your name, email address and phone number are not transmitted. This feature is independent of the Google Maps consent on the contact page. Data is only transmitted to OpenRouteService if you actually select an address suggestion.

Google Business Profile

On the home page we link to our Google Business Profile. This link is an ordinary link: as long as you do not click it, no connection to Google is established, no data is transmitted to Google and no cookies are set. Only when you click the link do you leave our website, and Google's terms then apply.

Google Maps (only with consent)

A Google Maps map may be embedded on the contact page. It explicitly only loads after you actively click "Load Google Maps" or consent to external content in the cookie banner. No connection to Google is established beforehand.

Cookie settings

Your choice in the cookie banner (necessary / external content) is stored locally in your browser (localStorage), not on our servers. You can change it at any time via the "Cookie settings" link in the footer.

No analytics or marketing tools

This website currently does not use any analytics services (e.g. Google Analytics) or marketing/tracking pixels. Should this change, this policy will be updated accordingly and the consent management extended with the appropriate category.
